We need to find a home for Lenny!

We have a few more weeks before our pet rehoming platform officially launches, however we are already being asked to help find new homes for a number of pets, from people wanting to responsibly rehome them.

Here’s Lenny. He’s a handsome little Yorkshire Terrier crossbreed, aged 4, currently in Hertfordshire.

Whilst he is super cute and totally adorable, he does have a number of behavioural issues, so we are seeking an adopter (or foster) who has experience in dealing with reactive dogs.

Lenny’s worst bits:

🐾 he’s protective of his owner

🐾 he can be reactive to other dogs - he needs more socialising

🐾 he pulls on the lead - he isn’t being walked at the moment so we believe this can be rectified

🐾 he’s entire (not neutered) - we can take care of neutering.

🐾 he very occasionally does a pee indoors

🐾 he reacted to the dog groomer and snapped at his owner when she took away his food.

Lennys best bits:

🐾 he currently lives in a family environment with an 11 year old child

🐾 he is loving and enjoys a fuss (once he is used to you)

🐾 he’s in good condition

Lenny was visited by an independent dog assessor last week. It is believed that with the right owner (or foster) and appropriate training, socialisation and management, Lenny could be a super pet. At this point in time we invite applications only from people who are very experienced and able to deal with his issues, and he will need to be neutered.

Lenny will need:

🐾 behavioural training

🐾 plenty of walks, exercise and mental stimulation

🐾 socialisation with other dogs

🐾 patience, companionship, love and care

🐾 a visit to the vet to restart vaccinations, and to arrange his neutering

Serious applications only please. A home check and adoption fee will apply. PetRehomer also offers post adoption support.

Let’s find this lovely boy a wonderful home!
